I think it is more of a threat to his ex than the State. He wants to be able to question her on the stand again. It always comes back to her.

Since he is already in prison for life, another trial will give him a reason to be out of his cell for a time, give him a chance to bully his accusers on the stand, keep him relevant and give him a sense of importance.

My personal opinion is this is Darrell's way of getting out of jail and he enjoys the attention of representing himself. I don't think he will get away with his behaviors with a different Judge on this case. Please continue the coverage. Would like to see how he handles himself in this case.

As a malignant narcissist all he wants is the attention. The very best revenge for Erika would be for her to drop the charges and make sure he knows why he is doing it. It would instantly deprive him of doing what he craves, victimising her again and being in the 'limelight' again. Totally devastating for him.

I'm glad they're taking precautions with him. He's a man with nothing to lose. I'd love to see you cover this one. On one hand, he'll grab the opportunity to grandstand yet again, but I'm super curious to see if he's learned anything from his last round. At least the court will know in advance what to expect this time.

I think he looks at it as a chance to be out of jail and "play" at being an attorney for a few days. He already has several life in prison to serve, so nothing to lose. Might as well have fun. I'd love to watch this.
