The response we received from the live performance of this song I played with my baby sis @rayleejohnson13 has been unreal. 🥹 I wrote this song as a tribute to our mama. As I left for Nashville to chase my dreams years ago & now Ray has gone off to her freshman year of college, mama has recently become an empty nester. I wrote this with the help of @samderosa in hopes to encourage my mother that her past isn’t her purpose & she has so much more to look forward to. ❤️ I’m not sure when I’ll be allowed to release, so wanted to give all you mamas an early Mother’s Day gift & post the demo so you could tell your own stories using the track.
