It's called a external wastegate. That sound of rushing air you are hearing once it hits full boost is the wastegate venting that extra pressure to the atmosphere. A screamer pipe is referred to being used on cars with turbos that use INTERNAL wastegates. Does the same thing, but they are two very different things.

Sounds like every other turbo car with a screamer pipe. As soon as that wastegate opens up, it drowns all acoustics from the engine. Doesn't mean it doesn't sound sexy as hell, it just doesn't have that awesome RB note that you generally retain on TT GTR's.

Think of it like this: A straight six is when I take your arm and hook up six pistons to it in a row. A V6 is when I take both your arms and hook the pistons up to both of them and angle them like a "V" shape.
