Tedd You are the best drone review maker I've ever seen indeed.Thank you.You convinced me to buy a Spark although the battery time didn't satisfy me.

You deserve many more subscribers, sir. Your videos are compassionate and objective at the same time. I enjoy watching your videos a lot.

If you sell the Mavic you can buy 20 batterys for the Spark....no over heating

Good job going over all the benefits of the drone. One of the biggest things for me, and I am a Mavic Pro owner, is just the fun factor of flying the Spark, quick and jostle!

This is the most down to earth and real world review I have seen. Thanks man!

Great review. I got the spark for the size and active track capabilities. I think it's a great action drone too. Being my first drone, I didn't realise people were not traumatised by the spark flying. They were willing to walk under the drone although it was my first public flight.

I watch the videos from the Spark on my 4K HDTV (which allegedly upconverts the video quality) and the 1080p video is amazing.  I honestly don't think I need a drone that shoots 4K video.  I think it would just be overkill.  Absolutely no complaints on the 1080p from my Spark.

Best of both worlds ... SPARK fly more package with an extra battery (for a total of 3). The Fly More package comes with an external charger which can charge all 3 flight batteries, the TX and your phone/tablet ALL AT THE SAME TIME. You also get a 16GB Sdcard in the Flymore package, as well as a very nice carrying case, and prop guards. When you add up all the extras you get in the fly more package, it comes to about $165 of "free stuff" which you don't pay for. I ordered the Flymore package last week, with an extra battery (for a total of 3) and an extra set of props (so I'll have a total of 3 pairs of spares). I'd been considering the Mavic, but I think the Spark will do fine for my extended bike ride shoots and posting stuff to my YT channel. If I really need all the features and range that the Spark doesn't provide, I'll use my trusty P3A. YMMV

Good choice buddy. I have a Spark, and absolutely love it. I have a friend who has a Mavic Pro and hardly ever flies it because of the start up time and the obtrusiveness of it. And he complains about how much room the 4K takes up on his memory card and his computer.

Of all the YouTube videos I've seen reviewing the Spark, this is the best one. Very well explained and not focusing on complaining that it is not a 4K drone or about the 2-axis gimbal like most of the other videos out there. I agree, it does not have to be 4K to be good. This is not supposed to be a professional film making tool or a Mavic replacement.

The spark is the first drone that I have owned and I am very happy with what can be done with it. It is very understated how many more places become accessible to fly simply because it looks like a toy and nothing more. I can easily put the spark in my jacket pocket and take it anywhere and find an open space to launch it up to a height that it becomes almost unnoticeable and take some shots or video without fear of disturbing anyone. 4K would be nice but I doubt that I would use it anyway. I wish it could shoot stills in DNG format but the JPGs it shoots are not over compressed so its not a deal breaker by any means.

Awesome review. I'm definitely going to get the Spark as my upgrade from my Phantom 3 Standard. The difference is size and portability opens up many more opportunities to get footage. Thanks.

One tip: you can slowed down from 30fps to for example 24fps and there's no choppy anyymore. Offcourse you get little slow-mo with this but I most like use slow-mo anyhow for aerial shots to smooth movements a little bit.

Awesome review!!! I would say the minute you get rid of the Mavic. That's when that super vacation comes up and you realize the benefits in having it. Why not keep them both. And think of it as having a Mountain bike and a street bike. Each one with it's own applications.

I've been looking at purchasing the Spark as a portable, easy to fly drone.  I travel a lot so the compact size is a big deal. I was a bit concerned about the video I have seen on different youtube reviews as they were a bit choppy. You are the only reviewer that has explained why that is and compensating for that show a great video picture ( at least what I'm looking for). After this video I have searched out your other videos and I'm addicted (and subscribed)! Great job, and keep those videos coming Everyday Dad.

Agree agree agree. I'm a dad and I love drones. But I've spent so much money on cheap drones that weren't good and never thought I could afford a quality drone. Then comes the spark. Perfect price for the quality. Can't wait to take it to the river and Chase the kids with it when they are on the jetski! . Good review and you have a new sub.

You probably know this by now but the reason the Spark wasn’t backing away when you waved is because according to the manual, you have to wave for at least two seconds. I made the same mistake the first time I tried it.

I agree with you about most things you said. The spark is a terrific drone. I am so sick about people raving about 4K and anything less just won't do. I don't have a computer or a television that can play 4K. To me 1080p is terrific. The Super 8 films of me when I was a kid we're not shot in 4K but they are still a pleasure to watch. The spark is an incredibly convenient drone to quickly get a shot that you just happened to see. As far as doing any real exploring such as going up along a mountain or something then the Mavic or Phantom is the way to go.

Thank you!
I have the Spark (Sold my Phanton 3 Pro), and I don't miss the Phantom even a bit.
I was debating if to get a Mavic tho or to keep the Spark. Since you have both and You're using it just like I would, you helped me decide which one to own.
The price is not a factor between the Mavic and the Spark because I have the Fly more and I ordered another battery.
Thanks for the video! Keeping the Spark

I'm excited to get the Spark. My fly more combo has shipped and should be here on Wednesday . I think most of your cons about the Spark could have been solved with the fly more combo. You would have an extra battery and a charging hub that charges much faster than what you have now. Also the remote lets you do so much more than your phone. Using the remote gives you a better signal and will greatly reduce signal loss especially if you direct connect a cable to your phone. Anyways, glad you are enjoying yours and can't hardly wait to get mine. Thanks for the video and happy flying.
