void fixed my distro hopping, I've been clean for 3 years now :^).

Void is really underated.

I switched to it from Arch too. The AUR is awesome, but it also made me get the habit of downloading random sht from it, which is bad for security and long term usage of the system.

IMHO Void is the closest Linux distro to Unix.
I have been using it for over a year now and haven't found any pitfall so far.
Solid System. No Systemd
Solid package manager.
And for newcomers there are void-live images.

I gave it a try since the reviewers confirmed it's using less memory but unfortunately the base install is still similar to a base debian install. I'm alittle disappointed

How does xbps stack up to aur in install time on a decent connection? Interested in Void but I just don't really have a reason to switch. I'm pretty sure I have the sweet spot where I'm setup to run MacOS, Windows 11, Arch Linux, and FreeBSD, but always interested in new work.

You use i3 interface? I like it. Trying to use void but i'm ubuntu noob user, i want a non-systemD and lightweight distro. Hope have your skills someday 😂

There is nothing greater than ARCH end of.. You did not install Arch pity :-(

Welcome to the Void.I've a lot of playbooks for ansible to setup a whole void system. incl. chrony / ssh security some runit services and rsyslog cronie logrotate wit logrotate configs. let me know if you've any intresst on these.

Hi. Need help. Idk how to tell u at group, discord or etc. Sorry to ask here. My sound card detect only on root, its sound well there. As user void its failed, no sound at all. $aplay -l output is going wrong different to root. Help. Thanks
