Lawsuit: Apple slowed iPhones on purpose

Several lawsuits against Apple claim the company was not being transparent after it admitted to slowing down older iPhones.
The lawsuits come on the heels of Apple justifying the move by saying it does so to keep older batteries from spiking in power an shutting down the devices. CNN's Samuel Burke reports.

What the so called expert fails to address is the fact that if you avoid updating the ios for about a year, the update will install automatically without notifying you. So it’s a whole new level of planned obsolescence. Mine is a 7 and it’s the last iphone i’m ever going to own. Apple has no respect for its clients

According to Apple, they slowed down their phones to save battery, but if you change the battery with a brand new one, phones are still slowed down anyway.
This is the definition of planned obsolescence
