For part (a) you could alternatively use the compound angle formula for cosine s.t. you get cos2xcosx + sin2xsinx = cos(x-2x)=cos(-x)=cos(x) and then the cancellation is much clearer

For part A could we not use the double angle formula and get cos[2x-x] over sinxcosx which simplifies to 1over sen x = cosexx ?

On part b, would it be okay if we stated the pi/4 to 3 decimal places as mentioned in the question, or is it better to give it in exact form?

for part c could you just do it as cos theta /sin^2 theta and make a u subsitution. would that give you the marks sir?
