2011 MK6 GTI Weird Noise on Startup

DescriptionThis question was asked on the AskDAP Show Episode 5. Q. I have a 2011 GTI with a CTS Catch can my car is having a rough idle on startup. I replaced the plugs and coilpacks and the problem still persists. I have have a whining sound on start up. Can you help?

Hello, I love ur Channel and it is very much helpful. Allow me to suggest to have a separate section where you would upload videos related to MK6 ONLY. This will be very much helpful and things will be neat. Thanks.

my 2011 GTI makes the same sound when I start it. Brought it the dealer and asked about it. They didn't find anything... (not suprised) Recently taking the car to a VW performance shop and was told that VCDS was indicating low idle. Really not sir what to make of it. I guess it couldn't hurt to replace the PCV.

no no no not vacuum leak! it's the car starter after it caught dust in it! fixed it twice! and it works! loool same sound as mine!
