Help! I just bought a Crop- A-Dile and immediately have problems. When I tried to use it for the first time, I could not slip paper into the hole cutter. I noticed that both the inch and centimeter sides had the same problem - the cutter is supposed to retract after cutting, but it does not. I was able to push it back just enough to punch a hole, but after punching it does not spring back. Also, the handles do not open as wide as they should. I have applied light coating of oil on the screws and punches, but that did not help. What can I do?

Why does the lady in the video turns the project upside down at 0:30 to apply the eyelet? According to the manual of my Big Bite II, I should not do this.
