Listened to him speak back in the mid-2000s and it was great. I caught a bit of a weird vibe from him but it was fine.

Then I sas him again a couple years later and it was the same EXACT talk. Now, that's not too crazy as speakers and comedians often create their traveling "sets" but it was the same down to the pauses and jokes stuffed inbetween. He just subbed in new names for them based on where he was (a different, nearby university).
The vibe was different though. He seemed tired and indifferent after the talk when conversing with people.

The last time I caught him speaking was in 2017 and...it was the same exact speech. Again. 10 years or more of the same exact thoughts?!
The vibe this time was just kind of crazy. He spent the time after telling people how Trump was actually "a good man with gangster proclivities". I'll never forget that.

Worse? He suddenly had 10 different causes he wanted everyone to donate to that were not really defined when looked into. At most they had a generic website with no real info on it. It felt sketchy.

Now I see what and who he is fully. Zero "well, maybe he just..." rationalizing. He's just a con-man.
Part of his speech was telling about how bad he was as a child. I don't think he's changed much, tbh. I think he eventually found a way to pimp the system so he did it. Now he wants people to pay off his debts, lol.

A shame, really. I wish I stuck to my initial gut feeling and I'm beyond glad I never gave him money by donating to, what I have to assume now, were bogus charities.

At this point Cornell West should save face and just take the money offered from the DNC to drop out. I believed in Cornell ever since 2015, and when he announced running for the presidency in 2023, he when deep in some weird rabbit holes. To a point when he doesn't get envited by anyone except for Jimmy dore and right wing channels. Its just so sad watching him falling from grace. 😢😢
