Loved the actors and actresses in this series. Really struggled with it though because it drifts so far from the books and I can't quite figure out why. Jack had nothing to do with the government when he was dating Cathy and even when they first got married. He got pulled into the CIA after he became disillusioned with the financial services industry and went into teaching at the Naval Academy.

Bottom line, she does not have a "need to know." She's not an agent, operative, etc. She's simply a beautiful, brilliant woman who overestimates what she thinks that she deserves to know.
