This video walks you through the benefits of converting your files to ProRes formats before (or during) your editing process in order to speed up your computer during the editing process. It covers several tips aimed at helping users get the most out of the computer when exporting or playing back footage during the editing process.
At the end of the video there is also a section on relinking converted files if you have already started a Premiere file and only realized later that you want to convert your files.
More videos in this series will go up in the coming weeks so stay tuned if you need help going through the rest of the process!
These tutorials are made by Teagan Lance (she/her) head technician of the Global Emergent Media Lab to assist it's researchers.
