About Kat:
The great Bob Dylan once said, “ you don’t just wake up one day and decide you need to write songs.” This quote rings true for the up and comer, Kat Hasty. As a child, before she knew how to put words on paper, she was singing and writing music. Born and raised in west Texas, her upbringing pours through her songwriting in tales of desert highways and the hustle and bustle of oil towns. Laced with heartache, joy, loss and female angst, her songs are ingenious and uniquely her own. The songwriter released her EP, “Drowning in Dreams” earlier this March and has seen support from all over the country. Talented and motivated, she is set to begin a long career sharing her stories and growing into the performer that she is fated to be.
About OurVinyl:
Lyrics:
You said don't go falling in love my girl
I'm a ramblin' man
I don't stay in one place too long
And I don't make no plans
Save that heart for someone
Who's gonna give a damn
I am not that man, I'm not that man
I feel the summer breeze
I can see you by my side
I try to let it go
But I still miss you sometimes
If you ever decide you will be coming back my way
I'll be here where the wildflowers lay.
I'll be here where the wildflowers lay.
I didn't wanna love you
I didn't even wanna try
You took this flesh and bones
And you brought me back to life
You said when I leave don't call for me
I hope you understand
That I am not that man, I'm not that man
I feel the summer breeze
I can see you by my side
I try to let it go
But I still miss you sometimes
If you ever decide you will be coming back my way
I'll be here where the wildflowers lay.
I feel the summer breeze
I can see you by my side
I try to let it go
But I still miss you all the time
If you ever decide you're coming back to stay
I'll be here where the wildflowers lay
I'll be here where the wildflowers lay
