The song The Love bug was written by my cousin Wayne Kemp for George Jones at the time he also wrote songs for Ricky Van Shelton and George strait the fireman and he also wrote some songs for Conway Twitty but my cousin was on the Porter Wagner show back in 1969

My 26 yr old son's nickname is bug. I had almost forgotten it came from me calling him lovebug when he was a baby because of this song. Also, as the other man said. My mom listened to George Jones and his music reminds me of how much I miss her.
