Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has been explaining why he felt it was vital to supply Ukraine with Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

He was speaking at a joint UK-Norwegian press conference after the two countries signed a new agreement to protect vital pipelines and underwater infrastructure in the North Sea from the threat of Russia.

Norway is not only "a long-time member" it's actually a founding member of NATO. Good to see allies cooperate in this way to assist Ukraine and eachother.

Norway has 32. They were going to sell them to Romania but it didn’t happen so they still have them. If some foreign pilots and ground crews with f16 experience stepped up this could really accelerate

This video is now a few hours out of date, as Joe Biden has officially said now that the US will not block any country from giving F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and will now indeed help in the further training of Ukrainian fighter pilots on F-16s. This will apparently be done in one of its European neighbours and will begin in a few weeks, but still will not be, as of now giving F-16s itself. Apparently the training will have to last quite few months which was inevitable, but this is still really great news.

Very good, two countries I trust, two countries of my ancestors, two countries that have always been expert at sea. They understand Russia, unlike Germans French or Italians.

I am glad we responded to the threats by Russia to nuke us. I don't like being threatened. A 990 lb Bomb Royal Ordnance Augmented Charge is a reasonable reply. I quite like this defence secretary he is not a coward.

Thanking the West UK to supply stealthy air craft missiles to Ukraine. Give Ukraine that edge against Russia and Putin ism.😊

Every time Wallace comes on TV, I just want to ask him "Where's Gromit?"

The only issue with F16s now it the eye-watering cost of modern jets. Most countries spend years building up their airforces a $billion at a time. This might be an example of an opportunity to lend some planes to Ukraine rather than give them. Once Ukraine has replaced russia as Europe's main source of hydrocarbons (as seems likely) they can pay for them out of the profits over a couple of decades. It would give the donors a great reason to want to ensure a Ukraine victory too!

What a stupid move. We are now unofficially at war this Russia.

The first clip with nordstrom pipe leak, it's the Danish airforce and not the norwegian airforce that recorded it. Its nowhere near norwegian 😉

Russia is doing very well(militarily), because Russiaś army is watching only, while Russia´s private Wagner army is winning over huge Ukraine´s army mobilized several times... Russia´s regular army is watching how NATO has depleted their weapon stocks even without direct fighting against Russia´s private army :) Bakhmut will be the first major battle in history in which a private military company defeated an organized army trained and supplied by the collective West. Ukraine kept killing Russian language speakers in Donbas since 2014.... (15000 civilians killed)
Was it clever, or was it stupid and criminal behaviour from Ukraine? We can see now, it was most likely stupid and criminal....
