Iran’s regime made Hijab a keystone of the theocratic regime. Now, the veil threatens to become a noose for the Ayatollahs. Economic distress and youth grievances have turned the women’s movement into a generalised rebellion against the regime.

Amini was not jailed for participating in "hijab protest" 2:33, rather she was caught by the "moral police" for not wearing hijab properly while she was travelling with her family towards Tehran. So, she was not a participant, but the cause of the present hijab protest. This is a very major error, I mean, you have no idea about the cause/trigger of the protest while trying to present a deep analysis of the protest!

Other than that, i enjoyed the video. Of course I am a fan of Praveen.

The Iranian people should fight for their freedom and for freedom of speech. Fight for democracy and get rid of the dictators!

I really enjoy your videos but some time i find it bit hard to comprehend without googling references. Request you to make the content simplified enough for larger audience just like the "cut the clutter". Thanks!

Praveen should do a critical analysis of the shifting positions of the global liberals and the Indian wokes on the political relevance of anti-theocratic movements and feelings among Muslim women across the globe. Their treatment of the Hijab issue in India has been sickeningly partisan and politically convenient. The contention that it is a proud and comforting choice among young women needs to be examined empirically and historically in the Indian context. Will Praveen Swamy dare to go there ?

Here there no "alleged" in the killing of the lady in jail. But Aftab is an "alleged" killer 😬

Incisive analysis of the current Iran situation. The Ayyatollahs and the Revolutionary guards have their own vested interest and as you observed, will fight to the last.

The theocratic authorities are smart - they agreed to close down the morality police for now in order to cool things down and to save themselves. I hope the Iranian people can see through their scheme or pretension. If they stop now means they have been tricked - they would continue to be shackled like before but in different way. As long as the Ayahtollahs are in power the Iranians would never be free like in the period before they came and deposed the Shah of Iran!
