[ADJUSTABLE DETECTION RANGE] The bulb will automatically turn on when the intelligent radar sensor detects even a tiny movement in its detection range(6-26 feet adjustable) and triggers “turn on light” command. Operational Principle
This radar sensor light bulb is an active motion detector.

The integrated radar sensor emits high-frequency electromagnetic waves (2.8 GHz) and receives their reflected waves. The sensor detects any change in the reflected waves and can detect even the slightest motion within the detection range. The microprocessor then triggers the "turn-on light" command. Detection is possible through glass, doors, windows or thin walls.Compared to the traditional infrared sensor light bulb, the radar sensor light bulb possesses a larger reach, is not affected by temperature, and works securely even in harsh weather conditions.

Just got mine, I love it! It even works if your fixture has glass covering the bulb. Now the gnats n bugs aren’t always by my front door constantly. I set the setting just for a couple seconds that way the the bugs have no time to gather near the light. The only con is it still turns on while I’m in the house when I’m by my front door with the door closed. It is very sensitive even at the lowest setting. But otherwise Highly recommend! The second control is to set how dark it has to be before the motion detection will take effect, to prevent the motion detector from lighting the bulb during daylight hours, depending on personal preference for how dark you want it to be before activation.

I got this bulb. I have it on a lamp. The second I enter the room it turns on. It works great . I have it in combination with a camera, since the room is dark in the case someone unauthorized enters, the light turns on. Plus when I come late at night, I don't run into darkness

I could be wrong, but pretty sure that dial that has the moon and sun is not a brightness setting for the bulb. I think it the sensitivity setting of the dusk to dawn feature.

Bought several over a year period. They worked great for as long as they worked. About a third of the bulbs I purchased; a couple just didn't work properly or burnt out within a year. Good product idea but QA lacks I think.

I'm glad to see that this goes up to a 5 min delay. I bought a couple motion bulbs off of eBay for $5 and they would be great except that they only stay on for a little over 10 seconds if no motion is detected. And are not adjustable. So imagine standing relatively still to read your phone, rinse a paint brush off, or solder something and the whole basement keeps going dark. This happened to my wife and I multiple times. Was very frustrating. I checked as many as I could find online and pretty much all have the 10 -15 delay built in. =(

I purchase one for my front porch light however I'm wondering if I were to place one in a lamp that had a lampshade in my entrance /foyer area would it still work as I'm coming in the house?

these are perfect because you can set the distance, because all others you put in your house come on with movement 25 feet away which is irritating. Problem is can't find them on amazon anymore, what happened to the maker?
