Just got this mic myself, pretty incredible they packed so many features inside, it's an incredibly light-weight microphone, great sound and very portable.

Really cool updates by Rode. I wish they had the USB connection when I bought the 4th gen, really nice how accesible they're making it.

Hi Sean, thank you for your very straightforward, unhyped video about this mic (it might be the first one I've seen where the term "mind blown" wasn't used, lol). I have a question that I can't seem to find elaboration on elsewhere: what is the USB latency like, and is it troublesome when using the USB connection to DI into the computer when tracking vocals over pre-recorded music tracks in a DAW? I have read/heard some folks mention that they wish Rode would have included a 1/8" headphone jack on the mic for real time monitoring, but I just watched you track a vocal just fine in the video. Are you monitoring from the computer somehow without latency (or just tolerating it)? Thanks!

Hi Sean! thanks for the video! I am looking for the mic for myself (mostly singing recordings). And I have a question - what is the comparison between NT1 and NT1 5th gen in a vocal (singing) sound? From watching many youtube videos I noticed that even between NT1 and NT1a there is a difference and I, personally, preferred the NT1. And in this case, maybe there is a difference in overall sound between the usual NT1 and the NT1 5th generation? I want to buy without regrets. And not to loose if 5th generation is everything NT1 has + benefits, and not to loose in sound (if 5th generation sounds worse in comparison). What would you recommend in this case?
