No Class Item, No Prismatic, Just A REALLY Strong Stasis Hunter Build

In today’s video I have a Stasis Hunter build for you that breaks away from the Prismatic builds we’ve been so accustomed to and returns the classic strength Stasis Hunter has always had, plus some new buffs that change the game entirely!

One of the big changes that went under the radar with the Final Shape patch was a change made to the behavior of the Touch of Winter aspect, specifically affecting the Coldsnap Grenade. Previously, the aspect created a small Stasis Crystal with each enemy frozen in the chain, but now, the seekers duplicate after freezing an enemy and also create medium and large Stasis Crystals on the 2nd and 3rd chain respectively, which is a lot more crystals and a lot more crowd control. Today’s build attempts to maximize the effectiveness and uptime of this new and improved grenade, with things like Headstone weapons, specific fragment choices and appropriate armor mods. Anyway, please enjoy the build!

I’ve been running a variation of this build recently. Mask of bakris just didn’t feel significant enough, so I went the glaive route. WAIT a second before you look away. This build doesn’t really need an exotic to work. Mask of bakris is just a damage buff that you can’t build into, the same way triton vice is an overall glaive buff you don’t really build into. Forthcoming deviance with demo and chaos reshaped allows you to be extremely tanky, gain 20% instead of 10% (or 22% if enhanced) grenade energy per kill, and can do some insane damage. Trust me, it’s good

Stasis as a subclass would be genuinely good if THEY DIDNT FUCK UP THE HARVEST ASPECTS BY IMPLEMENTING SUCH A SHITTY FIRETEAM-WIDE COOLDOWN SYSTEM. WHY GOD DID THEY ABSOLUTELY NEUTER THE SUBCLASS?

Love seeing some actual, interesting non-metaslave builds. One of the top things to keep the game fresh is playing around with different builds like these. Thank you.

Lots of the stasis abilities still need major buffs or reworks. For the Titan aspect that allows you to slide and create a stasis crystal when uppercutting, it should be reworked to be something that’s like Consecration but for stasis. When you slide, melee and uppercut to create a barrage and wave of stasis crystals that will freeze enemies, then melee and come back down, slam the ground and shatter everything in your path.

"Nothing Manacles" build for the Warlock would be cool.

I literally just made a build like this myself while at work, haha. I used Fr0st-EE5 instead for more ability energy and forwent Whisper of Torment. I'll try it out with Torment, but I used Conduction in place for the tracking shards and stat buff. I was getting energy back fast enough as it was

Finally. At long last, a pure Stasis subclass build, my all time favorite subclass, and I hope it gets the love it deserves, thank you Llama

As a Revenant main and Mask of Bakris being my favorite exotic, I've already had this build in my back log of many, trying to find the most comfortable stasis build that i could run in GMs, and personally I prefer Aegis's Scepter double special type load outs, I find that for me, Aegis + Cold snaps give me enough crowd control and that controlling multiple enemy hp bars so that I'll always have ammo is not that hard.

Really happy to see someone using Bakris in end game content and hopefully people will start to pull away from Dusk field spam as the only viable Revenant build.

As someone who currently doesn’t own the dlc and enjoy stasis hunter, I love you!! Thank you so much for this build, chill attitude, and breakdown on it. Keep up the great work and God Bless🫶🏾😁

I'm all for seeing what you can do with Prismatic and Exotic Class Items at this point.

Though I really appreciated you refraining for the most part, I feel it's warranted at this point. Excited to see what you can do!

Solid build but the core issue with stasis hunter continues to be a lack of exotic armor options. Renewal and Bakris are the only 2 pure stasis exotics and there aren’t many other options.

Oh cool is someone finally talking about enhanced cold snaps and how good they are?

It is refreshing to see a build like this with old faithful Exotics, This stasis build is pretty rockstar fun.

as an option, you could perhaps have 2 part video's ( or 2 separate video's on say Stasis hunter, one like this video, another maximizing what you think would be the best alternative prismatic with a class item &/or any other exotic. No harm adding in prismatic options to builds either when they are viable.

I like the pure subclass builds. Prismatic is cool, but everyone is making prismatic/class item build videos. If you do prismatic, use non class item exotics. Love how you did this vid and others, well explained and well paced. I liked the background gameplay showing what you were talking about, like the shard count ect. Only thing i would add is screenshots of the fragment/aspect/exotic weapon texts. Definitely liked and subbed, keep up the good work man

I see this build and think to myself Foetracer can do this with no down time on your class ability regen. Sure it won’t buff arc weapons but the same 25% damage buff to stasis weapons applies not to mention creating additional stasis shards with weapon kills on the same element. More fuel to regen your abilities back to you. This build looks solid either way. 👍

My preference is for whatever builds you think are strongest/most fun. Don’t mind if it includes a class item - I’ll grind if the build is good enough.

Personally prism & class item rolls that make a unique playstyle or gameplay loop are entertaining even as showcases. Just interesting to see what the possibilities are, especially for endgame variety’s sake

My OG stasis Hunter build. Always kept me on par with DPS and allowed me to have fun with a non generic load out.

Loving the builds lately Llama, always glad to use off meta stuff like Wicked Implement and make it good.

Keep up the great work bro
