So much for dill protecting cabbage plants. I have dill planted next to my cabbage plants, I woke up this morning to discover one cabbage plant completely eaten by some insect.

When you make your own pesticide for cabbages, do you have to re-apply after each rain? winter time, I add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to my mixture for it to stick to the leaves and not run off.

I agree... Way too fast. No time to look, read, & absorb.

…or you could manually pick the caterpillars off and throw them into the garden pond for the fishes to eat (win, win)

Half off them don’t work- Thyme is one it’s rubbish Best thing is just cover them up - fine netting 😅

Plants that attract or provide habitat for wasps are the best way to keep cabbage worms away. The yellow-jackets eat most of the cabbage worms on all of my grandmother's brassicas.

Have you ever tried putting something just over the head of cabbage to prevent bugs eating it? This is my first year growing cabbage and the bugs love it!

Well I have dill, thyme, and a small amount of mint already in my garden. I planted my cabbage in tubs and sat them at the edge of my garden and just this morning woke up to small holes in them.
