Tuscarora Trail Cowan Lake to Reese Hollow April 2019

3 day hike 15/9.5/4 miles on the Tuscarora. Mostly ridgeline hiking with beautiful views. We pretty much had the trail to ourselves with turkeys, pheasants, and a snake. High tick pressure - loved our dog - make sure to give bath / prophylaxis and do tick checks on yourself. Great shelters and water.

That section is right by the biker bar. I ate lunch at the bar, got my water bottles filled, got some bread to go. I could not find every spring, so I drank iodated creek water a few times. At Spring Run, I could not find the spring. I explored that village eventually found the Path Valley resteraunt and a gas station. The store was out of business at the time. I did not carry a camera, and that was before smart phones had hd video cameras. You did a great job on all these videos you uploaded.

I did the north half years ago. I saw porcupines and bear. Had the shelters to myself and used most of them overnight. It was part of a much longer hike.
