Garden of Salvation Chests do NOT reward raid weapons. That is an error on my part, apologies & thanks to the comments for bringing it to my attention.

Even if you have weapons unlocked in your collections it seems to only drop armour & mods.

If you haven't done any of the raids and earned some loot, I believe Last Wish chest is the only chest that you can get loot from. You can get spoils only otherwise

For VoG there's a video on YT that gives you the post-Templar CP. This allows you to get all 4 chests (1st chest without having to do opening encounter, 1st secret chest, 2nd secret chest in Gorgon's Maze and final chest). This gives you 20 spoils per character (60 in total).

Crota's End will only give you weapons or armour that you have unlocked. Red border drops are possible. So if you haven't done the raid you'll only get spoils and mods.

I personally just run past everything in vow if you’re quick on the sparrow you only die to pervading darkness one time

It would seem they patched the bug walking backwards from the staircase. I went very slowly, got to the point you showed transitioned and instantly died and respawned somewhere strange.

The time it takes to get the root chest, i can just run the encounter

in vog if you fall on a platform after the loading zone you can go back a bit the way you came from there will have a other load zone to retry the first one no need to restart from th bigening still one of the best if not video out there

So if the gear you get is based on what you’ve gotten in the raid before, then I’m curious what drops if you’re a no friends looser like me who hasn’t done a raid since D1 🤔 lol

If you really care this much about playing solo then just learn solo root and farm unlimited spoils since it’s still glitched and drops them.

All IK is that the Root section just showed me how much wasted map Bungie made……no wonder it takes them forever to drop content. They have ppl working on an extra 75% map that isnt used. Job security?

deep stone crypt chest isnt worth it unless you have loot from the raid already. even then, not wort the struggle

Vow is faster if you drive through the first 2 notes, die then and drive to the 3rd. sometimes you're not fast enough and die after the 3rd but even then, it's faster.

Have to ask; what happens if you did NOT get that door area on Root of Nightmares chest 5? I am on PC here and I have only did it one time while the others are NOT having success.
