With all your efforts, i knew pretty well you've got enough savings to improve your life style. Why not build a modern house even in the deepest center of the forest! Buy a car and a crop transporting vehicle. Widen road that would access to where your house to be. You can do it, Robert! So not to leave the forest as to where your resources come from!
