What is the main reason to not add the pH down directly to the tank? This is the first video I saw where you prep the water before adding to a drained tank. I love that idea

What if the old water has a high Ph?

I have a cycled tank ready with fishies and plants but I learned that I have to lower pH. What do I do now? How do I lower pH my cycled tank without making an extreme change?

Im super late to ask this considering video is 3 years old but.. after the water you prepared is ready do you put it in the fish tank right away after or does it have to sit for a min before putting in the tank?
