In the winter here in NY you will barely get 30 miles for all electric mode but I still love that car! My wife and I love this car. My wife recently did a software update now she gets 45 miles to a charge!

Currently have a 45e and about to pick up a 50e in next day or two. My 45e as been a great, no a fantastic car in the 100k I have driven in. It eats the motorway!!. If the 50e is 10% a better car then i will be happy!!!!

Standard sports seats more supportive and adjustable? Our family friend has an M50d x5 (albeit a late pre LCI) with the solid back sports seats and they’re nowhere near as comfortable or adjustable as the comfort seats? Stiff backrest with no upper back split, less adjustment control. Not as nice headrest support/feel and narrower seat bases towards the rear of the seat leading to numbness in your backside/upper thighs on long journeys. They keep saying it’s the biggest flaw of the car, the comfort seats in our G12 745Le are among the very best i’ve ever sat in, and they’re to my knowledge the same ones in the X5 in the video? If you mean the optional ”M” seats like the X5M/F90 M5 it’s a different piece of cake however!

Just ordered a 50e with pro and tech packs in Brooklyn grey with jet black alloys. Think delivery will be in time for the September registration period when I shall be saying a fond farewell to my M235i Gran Coupe. Contrary to what all the BMW purists say the M235i with a Racechip has been an excellent car, although admittedly there is no substitute for a BMW straight six!

Great car, i have the last of the745le's, coming from a mapped 740ld I was sceptical, but a part from the silly fuel tank it is capable of really good economy. In the last 20 days I have done just over 2000 miles and averaged 58mpg. The main reason is you need to charge at night and whenever you park during the day, the one thing that you must and i empathise must is use the bmw satnav for every single journey, put all your destinations in at the beginning, home - wherever - home, this way the car will use electric/petrol to the best and always makes sure you finish your journey on electric. I'm very interested in getting the X5 50e next if i don't get the 750e. I do wish these roadtest could be done with real life circumstances, i have never yet got in my car and used electric only, you have a hybrid so use the hybrid.

I've got the b57 in a g01 x3 and it really ticks every box, really not sure what I will go for in a few years with all the hybrid options, I would buy a car at approx 4-5 years old and the reliability would worry me as well as reduced loading space

Magical that combines worst of two worlds - bad boot space and high weight combined with high fuel consumption outside of your electric range and hassle or constant recharging.
I'm surprised that nobody figured out (well, other then merc) that hybrid would work best with diesel engine, and specially BMW did not figure out that their battery placement sucks big time, robbing people of "living space"

The best X5 it's quick enough, looks good, hybrid powertrain wich migh be helpful and not crazy extremist like the wicked X5M comp 😂
