I would be fine with the camera just staying stationary and the car pivoting around a turn as long as it stayed centered behind the car instead oriented to the protagonist.

This is very usefull + it gives a feel that gta IV is not more only about shooting but more like car game, like gta V :) Also this script + gta V handling script makes from it a nice pair together huh? Just brilliant :)

Works excellent, used in Feb 2024 on Steam version Complete edition. Set values for XY and Z to 0.05 and enable old mode in script gives best result without car cam shaking issues.... requires complete edition scripts as well though, same can be searched in other videos

You could actually use the bike's vehicle cam as an alternative considering that is actually centred too.

TL;DR, I'm running Windows 10 and I have GTA 4 running in compatility mode with Windows Vista SP 2 via CD. I've installed patch 1.0.8.0 prior to installing this mod and the scripthook files. After installing the mod and the scripthook files, the social club pop-up comes up as normal, I click play, and nothing happens. I then delete the scripthook files from the root folder and the games runs no problem. So when I run the game and press the "insert" or the "~" key, I can't access the mod menu to enable the mod.


Is it there an update for the scripthook files for my current patch version or am I just S.O.L.? And yes, I initially installed the scripthook files for patch 1.0.5.0 and 1.0.7.0.

i have trouble with this mod...i install this mod with OpenIV but i dont know how open console with hotkey...i read changing hotkey in ".ini" file? specifically "CenteredCarCamera.ini" ? and in how line write my hotkey? "hkToggleModOnOff" ?

I really like the original cam better.

I want something similar to IV to be in V.
IV's camera movement just felt so organic, and interesting to the eye, while V's is pretty static, and somewhat glued to the car.

+Arturs Kupcs i cant answer directly to your comment, check your post settings.

the camera dont Roll/flip, the change is more in the heading change, in IV we have a big delay between car heading and camera heading

After installing script the whole camera will shake when the car is shaking up and down while driving. My whole game screen is jumping along with the

I have this Mod installed with Patch 1.0.4.0 but for whatever reason the camera is almost "top down" on the vehicle and the vehicles themselves handle really weird (sort of super sensitive.)
Any advice?

I love GTA IV's of centered camera while driving because that's what it GTA IV and that is what make me feel like I'm playing GTA IV.

Edit: I just remembered that you also included a camera in the Buzzard V Style that was activated with the Z. .. Could you get the same result with cars?

gta forums was offline those days, my native functions list was offline too ^^

the problem is identify the stunt jump camera and let it work, actualy the script just ignores it ^^
