Union Arena Jujutsu Kaisen Has No Signature Cards! Do Serial Numbered Cards Help? Lessons From Weiss

Today I take a look at the current day prices on the booster boxes and foil cards for Union Arena Jujutsu Kaisen. There will be no signatures cards in this set. There is a serial numbered card for Yuji Itadori. The Action Point cards for these sets can be foiled but there are no signatures. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion with not have sgnatures either.

When it comes to pricing of Jujutsu Kaisen cards and serial numbers, this reminds me of Weiss Schwarz Sword Art Online Alicization Vol 2. The Asuna is priced at $25000 for the serial numbered card.

On the meta side, there was a restriction / ban list update where UEBT03/JJK-1-038 Yuji Itadori and UEST03/JJK-1-105 Sukuna cannot be played together.

Serial numbered cards can work, but the card needs to have something unique about it beyond just having a serial number stamped in the corner. And while I'm at it, what is the deal with these higher rarity cards (in both games) having character art in front of a stock background? Is Lelouch getting his class picture taken?

I will not pay a penny for a card just because it has a serial number without a signature.

I agree, serialized cards are awful. AGRs are the future! Now if only Weiss brought those pen signatures to EN...

Artistically speaking, signatures are going to be greater value than serial numbers. Regardless of both being stamped foil on a cardboard rectangle, signatures are personally unique.

One voice signature isn't going to be the same as another. This is why sigs are acknowledged as "additional art" along with the card itself.

Anyone can stamp a random plain serial number on a card. Think of it like putting a card through a typewriter, it's not unique or personalized. That's the difference.

But to each their own.

Serial cards are a scam without paid for signatures. Union Arena is adopting the worst of Weiss with this tactic. Weiss is on the way out if they stop doing signature cards. Greed will kill the best card companies.

They are not even signatures. They are pretty cards but they are stamped not signed. I love the art for Weiss but I don't get some of the ideas behind.
