Thankyou for explaining with such detail especially about the 3 hares = three female deities These three figures are often described as the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone, each of which symbolizes both a separate stage in the female life cycle and a phase of the Moon, and often rules one of the realms of heavens, earth, and underworld. In various forms of Wicca, her masculine consort is the Horned God.

Amazing explanation as I enjoyed the film yet it was so dark and quite at times I found it difficult to focus on what is a very fascinating story

Hares have had many associations, including as a symbol for resurrection in Chinese mythology. The hare was the animal associated with the pagan goddess Oestara, along with the moon, possibly because the hare was believed (erroneously!) to have a gestation period of 28 days.

Both Artemis' as well as Aphrodite's sacred animal is the hare (amongst others). Before Odin replaced our individual Germanic tribal High Gods and Goddesses, (Frau) Holle/Hulda was the leader of the Wild Hunt, a large group of hares bearing torches illuminating her way.

Thank you for the explanation. This film has really bad audio so I couldn't understand what they were saying a lot of the time

Excellent analysis, I greatly enjoyed the surrounding information on the mythos you provided. I found this film because I enjoyed the book so much. I highly reccommend it, I feel it was paced better than the film and stuck the landing with the climax a bit better.
