I love my iPad Mini, but it really needs a decent keyboard. In this video I test some Bluetooth Keyboards I found on Amazon.

My daily workflow consists of 2 setup types: 1) 2018 Mac mini (statiionary), and 2) MacBook Pro 16" (MBP), iPad mini 6, and an M1 iPad Pro 11" in the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro (portable).

I have a regular Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Trackpad 2, and Magic Mouse connected to the Mac mini.

When I am using the MBP, iPad mini 6, and iPad Pro together I use the Logitech MX Keys Mini for Mac Keyboard + MX Anywhere 3 for Mac Wireless Mouse Combo. When I am using any of those 3 devices separately...MBP- I use integrated keyboard and trackpad; iPad mini 6- on-screen keyboard because most of the time I am writing with the Apple Pencil; and iPad Pro in the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro w/trackpad.

Been using the Arteck one for a while -I love it! It’s enjoyable to type on and has good lighting. Plus, I think I only paid $15 for it
I keep it in a pouch for protection while traveling

I have watched this video several times. Been torn between what keyboard might be best for my iPad. Really helpful in making a decision. Thanks for sharing this content 👍

Using the keys-to-go since a couple of days on my iPad min 6th gen. I can confirm that the keys are not as easy to press as an e.g. Magic Keyboard. It's not intended for users who need to really work multiple hours on it - it's more a keyboard for users who need a portable, stable keyboard to quickly hook up to your portable devices, if your MacBook/Laptop is not available.

The included plastic-pease is definitely alright as a stand for an iPad mini or maybe even an iPad (Air).

All in all, it's perfect for my purpose of being a portable keyboard which I can throw around and use for writing some emails, doing some research, etc.

I just got the keys to go keyboard for an ipad mini 6 yesterday. You are right that it is a bit mushy. I almost returned it today, but after about two hours practise typing on it (I'm a touch typist) I thought I might as well keep it. If you try and ignore the plastic cover and concentrate on feeling the keys beneath the keyboard you can begin to adjust your hand to the smaller keys, and after a while it becomes an acceptable experience. I reckon probably a very good keyboard for infrequent use while traveling. As you said, very easy to slip in to a bag - can wash off dirt, and no keys to damage if it bashes in to stuff. It is very light as well at 180 grams. Some of the other keyboards are three times that weight.

Thanks for the review! Don’t like keyboard cases since I don’t type all of the time (just looking for something to pop in a bag here and there). The Logitech Keys To Go is interesting but I’m wondering how much smaller it is compared with just a regular Apple Magic Keyboard…

I think you are right to start with accessory kb's rather than combo cases. The keyboards sized to match the iPad mini size are just too small. I have the Arteck and like it... But the first compact Apple Magic keyboard is the best. Since it uses AA batteries I can throw it in my checked luggage, when lithium is banned (on my carriers).

I've been using the Logitech Keys To Go for a few months now, and...I just can't get use to the squishy-ness. I thought I could, but it's just too much of a hurdle. I need the physical keys pushing back on my fingers.

While it's a very nice keyboard, it's very thin, light, and the battery lasts a long time, I just can't use it. If you can get use to the squish factor, then certainly buy it. The command keys work, as well as using cmd + tab to toggle though the apps, so it's very useful.

Your keyboards are bigger than the iPad, and the keyboard case lacks the apostrophe button. I've tried most keyboards with my own ipad mini 6 ... so far, my favorite is the Rovinda foldable Bluetooth keyboard (Amazon for 26 bucks). Folds in half and has an excellent layout for touch-typing.

I use the logi keystogo… you get used to the typing feel. I wouldn’t call it squishy. There are other keyboards I would call squisgy(the ones you cal roll up)
It does have a smal clicky feel to it. So there is feedback.
And you get used to typing on it without doing typos

I use the LENRICH iPad Mini 6 case Keyboard 2021 with my iPad Mini. I think its a better option the keyboard case that. you reviewed. It's a clamshell design. The screen angle is infinitely adjustable. The keys do not hot the screen when closed. The screen can be rotated and folded flat for tablet use. The downsides are: 1. It's heavy and thick. 2. The keys are small. 3. The keys are close to the screen and sometimes my fingers accidentally touch the screen when typing.

Advantages: It provides excellent protection for the ipad. The keys are backlit and can be adjusted for brightness and color. With the screen rotated 180 degrees, it holds the ipad well at multiple angles for viewing video.

I have a 12 in iPad pro with magic keyboard. That's a 1st class experience that has me spoiled. But I do like this keyboard and most of its drawbacks are do to the form factor of the mini. And to provide a clamshell experience, it needs to be heavier to balance the tablet.

Keys to Go would be perfect if it had USB-C. Such a letdown.

Well... maybe you can save me with your experience.

I have an iPad 9 gn, can you indicate me some bluetooth keyboard and case to use like you do, because I have to have some degree of mobility because of my work and studies, and, when i'm at home, I want to use the iPad almost like an computer, on a stand, pairing the keyboard and a mouse.... Pretty complicated, no?

I can’t figure out how to check the battery level on my Apple Mini Keyboard when using on my iPad.

Any ideas?

The Logitech keyboards r actually bad if u use Apple Pencil. They actual affect signal and quality of lines u do for art.
