TalkTV’s James Max has clashed with the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union general secretary Mick Lynch over the rail strikes.

RMT members employed by train operators across England walked out in a long-running dispute over jobs, pay and conditions.

Train services have been disrupted by the action, which comes almost a year after the RMT held its first strike in the same dispute.

James tells Mick that he “won’t be supporting” strike action by rail workers.

“If your members were prepared to change and adapt with technology, great.”

Mick replies: “We are prepared. We’re not riding round on steam trains.”

I’m an American and I just want to say how lucky you guys are to have Mick Lynch on your team. To watch him put away his opponents again and again with simple truth spoken calmly and plainly - it’s a thing of beauty. He gives me a straight-up case of labor activist envy.

"You don't have my support !" Well, thank you for that, James Max. This isn't journalism in any shape or, form. Just a series of hackneyed right-wing talking points based on an ignorant set of assumptions about unions and the working people they represent. Well done Mick for making this guy look like a proper charlie.

Why do none of the interviewers ever take Mick Lynch’s points on the profiteering seriously and contemplate the points. EVER!

"Don't you start with those [facts]."
"Let's not look into history and all the mistakes that were made."
This is quality journalism. /s

Mick effortlessly wiped the floor with this armature who couldn't even effectively peddle his bosses narrative . The scary thing is these journalists genuinely think they are getting the upper hand. We all support the strikes!!! Pay theses people a wage!! This guy pretty much suggested in this interview to do away with all staff!! Crazy!!

Mick Lynch is awesome.
He's speaking up for millions of working people who are simply asking for fair pay and good working conditions.

Why do working class people in favour of privatisation like paying out billions more in subsidies to private companies than was ever paid out for a nationalised industry and relish paying more for fares for an even more abysmal service? I don’t get it. 🤷‍♀️

You couldn't argue with Mick Lynch all morning, you barely lasted ten minutes with him, before you shooed him off air. Pillock!

One argument that you will never win James when talking to someone who knows what he's talking about.
