His task was to play on the inside so Dumfries could make hus runs. And it absolutely worked like gold

I'm an England apologist so I think they'll go through, but their final performance really depends on who goes through in France vs. Spain. If France go through, then I genuinely think it's a battle of luck and moments FC. If Spain go through (which I think is the most likely), then we might as well just skip the game and say congratulations to the tapas terrorists because that team is going to run through the English defense.

Bergwijn wasn't substituted because he was playing badly, but because of issues with his fitness. I would argue that he actually has played fairly well, especially against Romania. He is good at playing more narrow and allowing Drumfries to get high and wide on the pitch.

Hope Netherlands 🦁 will win. NL was playing beautiful football in the past and with exception of 1988 never won. I see now a team that is resilient after playing to win. No total football but result football. I guess that is the reality of nowadays tournament football. What do you think?

With how these Euros are going, the final is going to be England vs France with both teams winning through penalties. Both games would be 1-1 with England equalizing late and France getting an own goal.

I fear that you might be right about the Netherlands. They're definitely trending in the right direction and I think they might have enough about them/England don't have enough to get the job done. I think we're trending upward as well (very small sample size) but the floor was so low that I'm not sure it will be enough. Hopefully a really good penalty shoot-out win can give them an emotional and psychological boost.

I see a lot of England fans freakin out about facing Spain in the final. Honestly, a Spain vs. Netherlands final would be way more fun to watch. Enough of the two most boring teams in this Euro (yeah, I’m looking at you France and England) playin in the semis.
