This is a semi false narrative. The name was bought but my sophomore year being one of the first 16 y.o. to work for Starbucks as previously you had to be 18 bc the espresso machine was considered heavy machinery, the company had a contest to see what barista could make the best new espresso drink. A barista at the Union Square store in San Francisco won he was paid a bonus of $300 and his recipe was the first coffee frappucino. Since they have made billions.
