Great Video! My wife and I hiked the first two miles to Hanakapi'ai Beach last May, and are planning to hike the entire trail this June. Can't wait! My wife really enjoyed the video and was curious what brand and style of video camera you used?

@justordinaryguy Most of the video was shot with my SLR canon 5d II. The time lapse was also shot with the 5d using a tripod and a timer remote shutter release. If you a are looking for a good point and shoot camera to hike with, I would suggest either the canon g12 (if you want easy control and a optical viewfinder). Or the canon S100 if you are looking for a smaller one, but still with great image and movie quality.
