You need to add zero weight flyline and tapered leader on that reel but honestly I don't think that rod is long enough to effectively make a considerable cast.

I don't know how often you reply to comments but I have a quick question. Do you prefer the fly fishing reel or the baitcaster-ish reel for the Pen Rod? I already have a spinning reel for a pen rod but its too big for what i was wanting. I had a baitcaster type reel before I had lost it. Never used the fly reel but I know the baitcaster one wasn't great
