Thanks, Mike. I'm updating tons of old elearning lessons before our process for recording and mastering narration was standardized. This batch method is exaclty what I was looking for, will save tons of time, and will make it much nicer for our users.

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I have Adobe Audition but never figured this one out as I have not been working with it for very long! So this saves me a lot of time, thanks!

It might be a good idea to mention Adobe Audition in the video title. Not everybody has it…

Really good method and Adobe Audition seem to be a powerful program! This will spare me a hell of a lot of time.

I just needed to produce nearly 50 short voice clips for a client's video game and thanks to you I was able to instantly normalize every clip to -3db using this method. You saved my day!

Does this create a new set of files or does it change the existing files? I hit 'run' but saw no change in the files. In multi track view I can see/hear the files are at the correct levels, but in the lefthand window they all still read as having different LUFS

Hi. I have a file that has a spike in volume (during less than a second), it's a music track recorded by me and that spike is probably due to the note on the guitar being louder than the rest in that less than a second. The differences in volume between the instruments is something I want to keep, or, by other words, I dont want that spike to disappear for example, meaning the dynamic differences in volume in the file I need to stay the same. Does this method alter that? because, I have tried a software called levelator and it leveled the volume between files, but within the file it changed the mixing in some parts. Is this my salvation?? Haha thank you, and sorry but I dont understand the proper terms for these things, sorry if there was some confusion here! Cheers

We have to grab files by FTP from a number of sources every week. Is there any kind of script or similar which could automate this process? Like, scans a folder for files, sets to LUFS -23 and exports them for ingest into our automation (Radio) systems for later playout. Thanks for great tutorial.

Nice video. I have recorded 25, 000 words. Now I am not sure what to do with all the audio files and in what order. They are all WAV files now and will be MP3 in the end. Should I batch normalize? Match volume? What should all the files audio be? Should i add empty and how long at the start or end of each audio? I appreciate your time.

I think this is what I've been looking for. I've been trying to figure out how to do it through either media encoder or premier pro. Is that not possible or practical?

When I export FLAC files, the metadata from all songs is changed to one and the same title and performer, is this a bug in matching loudness of FLAC files?

Thanks so much! Just a question. I've already done a lot of editing, combining audio files in audition (multitrack) and only after all that was done I discovered this helpful 'match loudness'-trick. Is there a way to replace the files that are already in my editor with the ones whose loudness I matched? That would save me so much time... thank you!

Very helpful vid! I was wondering how to do this, as I'm still new to using Audition, but am aware of what it can do.

so this is equal to mp3gain I'm looking for solutions that will permanently balance all audio even you transfer to phones or sd card and play it on mp3 player. That method right there uses also metadata same as mp3gain
