So your neighbor's tree fell on your house? What do you do now and who is responsible? This is an issue that we deal with at least 3-5 times a year. It is also the number one issue that I am threatened that I am going to be sued over. The answer might surprise you. It all comes down to is the neighbors tree healthy or dead. If the neighbors tree is dead did you notify them of that?

I really have to tell you sir that you are in informative "(I bet you thought i would say something negative) LOL. Very nice explanation and the way to handle this situation. Some neighbors would fight, when in fact "SHIT HAPPENS" and it's not worth getting all excited. Tree just fell on my prop., and guess what, I need to file a claim for that and any other damaged from that incident. I had that neighbor cut down that very tree as it was overgrowing The property line. She took care of it and I am cool with that. Now then, .... No proof of me asking her to cut back on same tree last year, BUT a tree service was called in, by her and taken care of. If I wanted to try to proceed with no notification or cert. letter The tree MUST be rotted. Having said that, I have no issues with my neighbor. "GET-R DONE"!

The county's tree is leaning towards my home. I already sent certified letters to the electric companies, the HOA, and the county. A year and a half gone by, and there has been no response. IF IT HITS MY HOME, CAN I SUE THEM?

I just had this happen last night, except I'm the homeowner with the tree :( I feel bad, it's a perfectly healthy sicamore but a huge limb fell in a big storm onto power lines and a bunch of other lines that run along the property line and probably 95% of the tree limb is laying in their back yard with the other end still partially connected to the tree. I don't want to just tell the neighbor to kick rocks, would it be weird to offer to split the costs for removal? Are there legal implications there? I just feel bad for the neighbor.

Thanks for the video. A house that I am flipping here in NJ just had a tree fall on it. It's 2 stories and a big tree fell on it and is leaning on it. It crushed the gutter. The tree is dead, but we did not send a certified letter to the neighbor ahead of time, can we still take action?

My neighbor has insurance. I do not have insurance. Guess who is going to pay? 🤷‍♂️
