Big Greek MeetUp 2020: Συνθετικά έντομα (Ματθιόπουλος Κωνσταντίνος)

Ποια είναι η σχέση των εντόμων με τη Συνθετική Βιολογία;
Το τριήμερο 24-26 Ιουλίου 2020, η ομάδα μας διοργάνωσε online το Big Greek MeetUp. Στο event συμμετείχαν οι ομάδες iGEM Athens και iGEM Patras, οι οποίες μαζί με εμάς, παρουσίασαν τα δικά τους projects. Επίσης, ήταν μία πολύ ωραία ευκαιρία και για τις υπόλοιπες ελληνικές ομάδες που δήλωσαν συμμετοχή για τον iGEM 2021 να πάρουν μία πρώτη γεύση για τη Συνθετική Βιολογία και το διαγωνισμό iGEM!
Στο MeetUp παρουσιάστηκαν ενδιαφέρουσες διαλέξεις για τη Συνθετική Βιολογία μαζί με παρουσιάσεις για όλες τις πτυχές του διαγωνισμού iGEM (όπως το Graphic Design) και, φυσικά, τα projects των ομάδων για το 2020!

What is the relationship between insects and Synthetic Biology?
For 3 days between the 24th and the 26th of July, 2020, our team organised the online Big Greek MeetUp. iGEM Athens and iGEM Patras participated in the event and they, as well as ourselves, presented their projects. Furthermore, it was a great opportunity for the rest of the greek iGEM teams who planned to participate in iGEM 2021, to attend the MeetUp and have a first taste of Synthetic Biology and the iGEM Competition!
During the MeetUp we listened to many interesting lectures about Synthetic Biology, presentations about every aspect of the iGEM competition (such as Graphic Design), and, of course, presentations of the teams' projects for 2020!
