Speaking to Al Jazeera from his residence in Lahore, Imran Khan said that the Pakistani government wants to arrest him in order to remove him from the upcoming provincial elections.
“They want to remove me from the electoral contest because they are petrified by the popularity of my party. According to all opinion polls, we would sweep these upcoming elections,” Khan said.
Khan insisted that his supporters were exercising their fundamental right to peaceful protests.
“The constitution and the law of the land give you the right to protest.”
The former prime minister said his lawyers have the supreme court combine all the cases filed against him and hear them in a secure place as there is a threat to his life.
“When I attended my two court appearances, there was no security. The government itself has said that my life is under threat, therefore, all we ask is for them to club all the cases together.”

The current situation in Pakistan is one of the most critical yet underreported stories of our time. It is a story that should inspire nations around the world. It's a story of diverse groups coming together as one, united under the leadership of a fearless and honest leader with a 35-year track record of integrity, courage, and a relentless fight for the implementation of the rule of law in his country.
It's a story of how powerful countries exploit weaker nations by spreading corruption and supporting corrupt and oppressive leaders. For decades, corrupt army generals have ruled over Pakistan while blaming the corrupt politicians on the face of it. But the truth is far more complex and disturbing than that.
This story will serve as a beacon of hope in modern times, just as Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela were for their respective eras. It will show countries like Congo, that nations can transform overnight with a sincere and visionary leader at the helm.
Let us rally behind Imran Khan and the people of Pakistan as they fight for a better future. Let this story inspire us to seek out leaders who embody the principles of honesty, integrity, and justice. Together, we can create a world where corruption and oppression have no place, and every nation can thrive under the guidance of compassionate and wise leaders.

Seriously!? Did this anchor woman really say, “ The attempted murder is an allegation by you Mr. Khan” with sick smile on her face. Who hired her?! What else does she think it was, was it Santa throwing gifts?! And not a guy shooting?!

She asked a world renowned man for peace and justice, does fighting for freedom means violence?! Has she never heard of fighting for rights before? Since when does it mean violence?!

And then she continues to go on and say that ‘you want to same right to of virtual court hearing as the convict?!’ Is she trying to hard to be smart or too hard to be stupid?!

Al Jazeera do you not want to keep your caliber intact and keep such personnel?! Perhaps that’s why you’re losing your reputation.

Very weak and baseless questions, asked in a wicked way 👎

If you could sense the anger in public its impossible for these to forces to stand in front of them. Imran Khan only needs to say one word and they will book their flight and run away cause that is power of public and power of Khan. As a Pakistani I am sick of seeing my nation, my brother and sisters suffering. He will be back INSHAALLAH.

I have been listening all international media anchors asking same question from Imran khan ‘why don’t you appear in court and face the course of law?’ Remember these are same courts who sentenced ex prime minister nawaz Sharif and his daughter for 7 and 5 years jail respectively. Mr nawaz sharif is been declared absconded by these courts as he took sick leave to UK for three weeks but never came back. And his daughter I have no idea that at what grounds she was given bail. So she hasn’t completed her jail term yet but she’s ruling country even she’s is not holding any government office but she’s enjoying all government protocols.
So my point is ‘when are you gonna ask question from prime minster of United Kingdom to deport Mr nawaz sharif so he can abide by Pakistan law? Since you all seems to be very concerned of Pakistan law. Pressure United Kingdom to respect Pakistan law and courts and hand our Pakistan absconded and wanted man (nawaz sharif)
