Nord Stream Gas Pipelines Have Been Attacked!

Both Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea that connect Russia to Germany have been attacked. Pressure abruptly went to zero in both lines as gas leaked into the Baltic. German officials have ruled out any scenario where this was not a targetted attacked. Here is what we know so far.

Update: according to Politico, the leak on NS2 occurred at a depth of 60-70 meters (200 to 230 feet).

It happened in shallow water close to the German shore. The US did it 100%.

Russia already turned off the pipes... why would they destroy their own pipeline. Makes no sense and destroys any leverage they have.

The USA and the UK would prefer if Germany didn't have a chance to go back on sanctions and re-open the gas pipelines. This was done by either US or UK saboteurs.

Like Ukraine war, who benefits most from such sabotage? Is it Germany who is desperate for gas supply or is it Russia who offered to resume gas supply if sanctions are lifted? Probably some other party who wants Europe to suffer and Russia to be blamed. Human beings can be so cruel & soulless

US Navy ship USS Kearsarge was in the Baltic Sea less than 30 km from the site of the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines just 2 days ago. How convenient for the new Norway/Denmark/Poland "Baltic Pipe" pipeline that just opened yesterday.

Russia had nothing to gain from destroying their pipeline
Europe had nothing to gain from losing a potential source of gas before winter
The USA though... now they don't have to worry about Europe being tempted to buy gas from Russia
