These guys were flying in and out of Afghanistan in practically enemy territory half the time in pitch black darkness doing it 24/7 without a single incident. True professionals.

That young Staff Sgt at the end of the video, with his positive and motivated attitude, is the heartbeat of our military services. God bless him and all of our troops!

The loadmaster's enthusiasm is infectious. I'd love to have a chat with him about his job!

I’m so proud of my Dad, who worked for McDonell Douglas and then for Boeing for 30+ years building the C17. My Dad engineered the rear cargo door. I imagine the work that came from my my Dad’s hands making it possible to transport souls and the most precious of cargo on missions and to safety. Love you always Dad. Rest in peace my forever hero, Dan Frank Hyland.

No mention of the Operation Deep Freeze mission. Nothing like flying in and out of McMurdo Station, Antarctica on a C-17.

People don't remember all the issues early on with the C-17 but key people kept plugging away and finally resolved most of the issues. The C-17 is the rock-star of aviation. All the nations that have it, love it!

As an Indian i would really thank the manufacturer of this aircraft and the US!!! The supportive capabilities of this aircraft r just unreal to say the least..

From the hellish 2nd wave to the rapid evacuations of indian nationals from Afghanistan, the c17s have been an integral part of indian operations in tackling each of these challenges.

As a military spouse for more than a decade, I have always been intrigued by the c17. It has so many different roles in the world and looks like it shouldn't even fly because it's so big

Proudly worked on the C-17 project back in the early 90’s. Created much work instructions for it’s parts for McDonnel Douglas.

C17 globemasters are the work horse of the Indian Air Force. Sadly since their production is over the IAF couldn’t buy more
