The children of Ham actually occupied Australia and the Pacific islands as those places were given to them as their territory. They are what we now call as the aborigines. They reached even the Philippines and Taiwan. I assume that they also used boats to reach Australia and the other islands in the Pacific. Do you think they used the ships of Tarshish as well to reach their destination? I assumed here that they only moved to the east after the division of earth into 3 parts was finally made.
