Kansas has us do the governor cutoff first, it makes more sense to do it that way though.

It goes

Chock Wheels
Governor Cutoff| 120-150 psi
Brake Bleed Test| No more than 3 psi lost
Low Air Alarm| between 65-40
Spring Brake Pop Out| 40-20 psi

Unchock wheels
Build Pressure up
Tug test the emergency brake
Roll forward and test the service brake.

Interesting, you guys skip the static system check. After chocking the tires and before applying the service brake, we release the parking brake then look and listen for any leaks, expecting an air loss of 2psi or less. Is that just something extra we do in our district?

You failed before you even started. No seatbelt is an automatic fail.

I have a question! Bus driver newbie here and today when I parked my bus I put in neutral, then applied parking brake while holding the service brake down and there was an air horn sound and a sudden loss of pressure. Is this normal? It’s a Gillig bus
