I attended UC Riverside which has the bizarre rep as being the Biomedical Doctor shortcut to med school residency at UCLA. So many potential medical students start the program like hundreds each frosh year and only ten make it to the program which reduces the number of academic years to 7 from 8. The program is intensely competitive, the note taking, hours of study required, it is completely insane but luckily many of the people who don't make it are better prepared and become doctors if not nearly all. I knew many of these people who made the program and they were genuinely nice people they even played a joke on me once and brought me into the cadaver lab. Needless to say I don't talk to them anymore. :D
