To me, the dealbreaker is the rear headroom. I am 189 cm tall and I definitely can't fit in the back there. Had the same problem in an VW Arteon

Drove an A7 with the 21' wheels the other day and the ride was my only gripe. It was damn good but it wasn't perfect and my guess is that a smaller wheel option with a bit more tire would sort that right out. So, if you're going for an A7, snag the smaller wheels

I can't understand why car manufacturers think that touch screens are a good idea. You learn the location of all the knobs and buttons and they get easy to use without taking your eyes off the road. This will never happen with a touchscreen, no feedback on where your fingers are.

I am not a fan of the touchscreen in the new A6/A7/A8. Idk about everyone else but when doing motorway miles like I do, I prefer a swivel wheel like in BMW's iDrive system.

I love the new A7, test drove two of them, and came within an inch of buying one (with about 12 grand off via Carwow). I just couldn't justify the cost in the end, not when my 1st generation A7 BiTDi is just so accomplished. Don't get me wrong, this new one is better in almost every way - it's much more taut and a better drive, and the interior is incredible.

The loss of the MMI wheel in place of touchscreen is a mistake though, in my opinion. The salesmen tout the voice control as being better, but I just feel like a lemon using voice commands to my car.

The Audi A7 does set a benchmark in the gran turismo segment it looks dynamic and aggressive, mind-blowing with technology and a large boot that can fit a bike - so big that I don’t want the A6 Avant.
