“Go focus on your gadgetry” is the most dad thing ive heard from him at this scene.

I love how she's playing with it, and he's looking at her like, "Yes, yes, very amusing sweetie, but daddy needs to stab his eye."
He's not mad or annoyed, or anything like that, which, given how short he is with other people, is telling.

Loved this scene on so many levels. Their dynamic simply makes so much sense to me and it bothers me HOW MUCH I felt that.

Silcos voice is so good. It makes me have impure thoughts.

Jinx's character was so chaotic at this point that her acting normal-ish threw me off guard. The way she was acting towards Silco felt so creepy, specially when she playfully blew the drug delivery device, I mean wtf was she implying? Then it hit me, Jinx is just an over grown kid that seeks attention by annoying her defacto father.

I think that this scene wanted to drive really hard the point that Silco sees her as a daughter, going as far as covering up her mishap. Killing the farlights was not the main goal and we know it. As the scene ends he tells her to go and focus on her "gadgetry" basically telling her to go and play with her toys, you know, the city leveling bombs she makes.

Very relatable. Silco was pushed away by the world, his dreams of the Nation of Zaun, rejected, unheard, crushed. He became extreme, and his friends pushed him away, and he nearly died. Thus he was driven into what we see in Arcane.
Powder, now Jinx, wanting to help, but messing up too much, the last straw being Vi abandoning her, that she jinxed everything up. She has no-one. She saw herself in Silco, and he himself in her.
She, a chaotic and insane girl, enabled by a man who wants something somewhat good for his people in the lower levels of that massive city. Both pushed to the brink, only to come out stronger.
"We'll show them.... we'll show them all."

It's funny... Jynx literally has his office ready to blow... Silco lets her. her need for control. Silco might be a monster, but i'd love him as a dad

Silco could have easily been just another scumbag, duplicitous villain posturing as a gentleman.

…instead, they gave him the capacity to have just “enough” compassion to care about an outcast like himself.

If he gets taken out…I mean, it’ll be good…but I won’t be cheering.

Can’t believe they gave the bastard a heart.

The moment when a villain takes a paternal role, you know the bastard will become a fan favorite.

Silco makes me wonder that if there are actual crime lords who are actually trying to help their people.

One of the most dad things besides him telling her to pretty much take time to process. Was at the beginning when he's pretty much like "Yeah they told me what you did, but I wanna talk to you first"

To those who aren't familiar with the show here's the best way to put silco in a sentence: What if we gave a villain like grand admiral thrawn or doctor doom a heart

As someone whose love Language is physical touch this scene killed me. I feel loved when people allow me to get really close to them without making a big deal about it. And I love the fact that Silco just lets Jinx touch his face and lay on him, platonically of course!

I just realized that the shape of injection resembles just like jinx's minigun...

The first time i saw this scene i assumed he had been grooming her since a small girl and she was his sex toy.

It was so refreshing for an antagonist to not hurt a little girl.

"What happened?"

Ive listened to him saying these two probably actually 50 times. The way he says it is so interesting to me because, imo, the tone in his voice is showing he cares about *why* this is affecting his adopted daughter.

Whereas the first time you hear him ask, it might sound as though he's just asking wtf went wrong and is it going to be a problem moving forward.

Like. He's a dangerous, and powerful person with connections and all the powerful perso stuff.

But i think this scene shows the viewer that Silco cares personally for Jynx's well-being.

Which is so refreshing.

One thing that makes Jinx so unique or compelling is her dialogue.
It’s said she retreats to a younger spirit or mood when she feels her most raw emotions, whether it be sad, angry or joyful.
However it’s so expressed whenever she talks as well, it’s like you have to rewatch or rehear a scene because she puts her own twist in whatever she says from “stuff them back” or “sister thought I missed her” or “when all the colors were black”
When she feels in control her words express that. When she feels degraded or hurt or numb, that’s when you can blatantly hear the dead tone and her simple responses because she’s back in a reality she doesn’t find comfortable, like the simple “im sorry” or “it won’t happen again” when you hear nothing in her voice.
It’s throughout the entire series and that’s why she’s such an interesting characters.
Super hyped for season 2❤
