If games like Ni No Kuni and SMT can have a monster collecting mechanic and not be dismissed as a Pokemon clone, then why can't Yo-Kai Watch?

As a long time Pokemon fan I wasn't interested in this...but my brother got the first one. I loved it. Now I can finally get both these games one for my brother one for me and sun and moon! It's nice to have someone to play with lol.

This game is amazing. My boyfriend loves pokemon but when i made him play this he loved it! its like digimon and pokemon combined.

Even the creator of this game wants this to be a big hit in the states. Maybe if everyone wasn't calling it a Pokemon rip-off and getting on their hands and knees wishing for mother 3 then maybe the creator can get his wish.
