The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. It's a really nice lunge and a wonderful point, but this is not a dive. A dive is literally going full extension and hitting the ground and then picking yourself up. There was a player named Tim Wilkison from the 80's, who won a point doing exactly this at Flushing Meadows one year. I'm not sure if this happened during the famous five set match he had with Boris Becker, but It was a sight to behold. He had the nickname Dr. Dirt for a reason. He dove whether it was a soft surface or a hard surface.
