People should not be in prison for Marijuana!

Hopefully minor drug offenses can be changed too. No reason why someone should be serving years in prison for a few grams of drugs.

This will give all the criminals in our current administration a second chance

I guess the question is what crime? I mean some people don't deserve a second chance, murders and violent criminals I think not. However some crimes don't fit the time. Like minor drug charges.

We should teach prisoners trades like carpentry and plumbing or basic mechanic or electrical work, learning a trade while locked up will be crucial to keeping people out once they get out.

I wonder if CNN, MSNBC, the BBC etc will be reporting on this very positive news??

President Obama tried to pass this very same bill. Mitch McConnell wouldn't even allow it on the Senate floor.

They need a website or something to help them find a good paying job. Some places won't hire someone unless they have been out for a certain amount of time. IE. 7 years? 2 years is long enough to prove if you have a good work record. Some people just make a stupid mistake and now they are wrecked. Welders and Electricians in my state don't pay that good so anyone here aren't getting a good enough chance. If they work hard they should be able to work with non criminal past people and be able to move up to Supervisors or still be able to become a CEO. My Pillow Mike stopped trying and just made his own business.

Let me get this straight, you can take a convicted felon and give him a job that by the way when they get out they'll go back to there old ways, but me I have a talent and cant get a job because California laws have made it where I cant get a driver's license because I got caught driving on a suspended license but they'll give a job and a license to an illegal or a convicted felon. I guess I gonna have to go and commit a felony to be able to get my job and license back.

That woman sounds like a used car salesman. I couldn’t listen to her. She’s the wrong messenger for a good policy.

This is a good idea but checks and balances should be put into the system.
