Thanks so much for your informational video. I have a red 77 Midget which I love. Keep her garaged. I'm the third owner and she's always been garaged. Nothing more fun than driving a true British Sports Car. Thanks again.

The commentator mentions repairs of structural members running as high as 25, 000. Entire unibody structures are still manufactured and available. They are priced under $18, 000 US. If the Midget you are looking at is as bodged as suggested, the reasonable course may be to buy it as a parts car and reinstall all of its components on a Heritage shell. The Heritage unit have been re-engineered to address the issues of corrosion, both by the use of different alloys and thickness of metal, but also by addressing some weaknesses in the original design of the body. It is a radical step, but it will create a car that will last far beyond the length of your interest in it.

What about the 1098cc engine? It didn't get a mention.

My mums MG midget has been sat in the garage for 20 years but I’m now a mechanic and going to put in the effort to get it back on the road, any tips? Never worked on a class car before, Any information will be appreciated. 1979 MG midget sport, sat in a well sealed garage with a cover over it.

I can't physically fit in a Midget and it's not as though I'm unusually tall or overweight. The top of the screen is level with my line of sight.
