So Martin is calling out pep for being right only in the world we live in now do people have a moan about someone for being right 😂

The game moves on, Hart was unfortunate that the evolution of the game happened in his position in the middle of his career.
But I also think his talent took him as far as it could, which was a fair old distance.

Joe Hart can hold his head high, major trophies, contributed massively, dortmund at home, we could of been battered without joe. Tell your grandkids, they will be proud 👊

Having Simon and Martin on same time is dangerous- I literally get road rage listening to them and I don’t even drive

Oh yeah Pep was completely wrong in dropping Joe Hart, Man City really struggled without him and have had a serious goalkeeping issue since he left. Honestly Keown has so many excuses for why English players are just not quite as good as they are hyped to be.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but that night against Barcelona I've never seen a better single handed performance from a goalkeeper in my life and it was a pleasure to watch and the fact near enough every single Barcelona player after the match came over to hart and praised him speaks volumes.

blaming Pep that he wasn't able to perform at the likes of West Ham is dumb af

It's not surprising that Joe lost confidence as a result of Guardiola's decision because the latter replaced him with the triumph of Claudio Bravo. An own goal then bu not when City ended up with Ederson

He won’t go down as a Banks, Shilton or Seaman in terms of his england career but He’s had a great career none the less, i wish him all the best in retirement.

The simple reason pep gaurdiola let his go is simple at Barcelona he had valdz at Munich he had neuer and at Manchester he has ederson even though hart is a decent goal keeper he isn't really good with his feet

Simon he moved to Spurs to get game time, specifically to play under Mourinho in important European matches, where winning whilst resting your key players is an obvious factor. The real mistake he made was moving to West Ham and Burnley, clubs that didn't see his talent and left him to languish on the bench as a box ticking backup. The move he should've made with the advantage of hindsight was to go to Chelsea instead of Kepa, but poor England performance and the cold shoulder from Pep made that impossible. Luckily Celtic saw Joe Hart for what he is and always was. A talented, competitive, hard working, no-nonsense keeper and they've profited.

It was bad enough when Pep told him he wasn't wanted at City but brutal when Nuno told him he wasn't wanted at Spurs, even as third choice.

Hart didn't do himself any favours, coming across as a cocky sod imo

Surprised that at no point did they talk about the fact that Joe Hart's problem was becoming somewhat obsolete when it came to the demands put on goalkeepers at the very highest levels of the game. You can't be elite and play at an elite club if you are totally unsuited to playing the role of 'sweeper keeper'. By all accounts that's why Pep didn't fancy him.
The game just happened to go tactically in a direction that didn't suit him and Man City outgrew him in that sense.
As Simon says (haha) he still had a very decent career by any standards.

The end for Joe came when Leigh Griffiths scored those two free kicks, never the same since.

Pep was right always thought even though he replaced shay Given in goal Given was all round a better keeper .
Hart was a great shot stopper but always had a mistake in him
